L. OURSEL, CEO of AREVA, welcomed at the AREVA Chalon plant the Minister of Industry E. BESSON and his colleague Minister of Public Service F. SAUVADET, together with H. PROGLIO, CEO of EDF.
During this event, G. KOTTMANN, President of the Burgundy Nuclear Partnership, signed with the French State and with the high ranking executives a performance contract engaging the PNB in an ambitious programme covering, R&D, innovation and education.
In his speech, Minister BESSON said : "France has only one cluster exclusively dedicated to nuclear industry, and this cluster is headquartered here in Chalon, it is the Burgundy Nuclear Partnership".
The Minister then opened officially the works of the Nuclear Industry Strategic Committee which aims at "developping the competitiveness of the industry and create wealth and employment".
This Committee is composed of about 60 members at national level, and is monitored by a 15-member Steering Committee (among which the PNB) headed by M. BESSON.
